Some of the stories were poignant. I guess part of it may be that it satisfied my voyeuristic instincts to delve into other peoples lives and see what makes them tick.

In case we want to move back, how would our kids adjust with the diffrent weather? Any inputs/advise is appreciated. Thank you.
Everyone usually gets acclimatized after about couple of weeks. So, young kids tend to be quite resilient and hence ok with the change. Mosquitoes might be another issue.

Life: Stay in Canada, or return to India ?
 Started by: ugot_mail on 06 Apr 2004
...; ????? I am here for 6.5 years now and within last year the way I have seen reverse immigration or brain drain is phenomenal. People are realizing that this country do not need professionals ( they need only laborers) and they feel that changing face of Indian economy have given them a better opportunity to use and prove their capabilities. This country is and would be a big time looser ! Thanks and regards. Biomed

It is clearly written on Indian Consulate website,
As per rules - Up to the completion of 20 years of age and once after completion of 50 years of age, it is MANDATORY that OCI Registration Certificate & U-Visa are re-issued each time a new passport is issued. Otherwise ENTRY into India may NOT be allowed. This was for my daughter. Although they say may NOT , I had heard horror stories, so I didn't want to take a chance

Ask Immigration Expert: Document Checklist - Birth Certificates (Parent's Sponsorship)
Started by: alexsteward on 02 Dec 2011
...You are required to provide your birth certificate to prove relationship with your parents who you are sponsoring. It is also recommended to provide the copy of the page in your Indian passport (even if you are a Canadian citizen) where it lists your parents names. Your parents are not required to provide their birth certificates,if they dont have any. They can provide an affidavit stating that their birtth dates in their passports be regarded as official proof. They do have to provide their marriage certificate or an affidavit if that is not available.
