   Compare BC with Alberta: ...ce in weather conditions. But need to know about opportunities. From the previous posts, I understand that housing in costly in both the provinces and so is the gas. I am actively thinking of moving to Edmonton. My family comprises of myself, wife and a 2 year old kid. I have Indian qualifications and experience in Finance and Corporate Law. I am considering taking up some related course in Canada. So wish to know whether to join the course in Vancouver itself and look for a long term settlement in BC itself or move to Alberta and take up the course there and then look for a good job.    ...et still very canadianized in all the good ways ....they are big maple leaf fans . I felt touched by their whole experience and i am sharing it here ...i m sure there are many many more and we should keep posting here ...one thing which struck me in them was ,they never seem discouraged or dismayed , despite all the problems they may be facing . Keeping the hopes alive may sound simple , but is a very big thing for those passing thru it. This is just one of the cases i cameto know , there are so many more such cases of desis coming here and riding out the tough times to see better days. Recently in an indian gathering , i was struck and felt proud by what i saw in the parking lot .....

I gave this example to prove that population growth strains resources and incomes. Competition in India v/s competition in Canada - to my understanding there s no comparison as resources in Canada are currently much more their population unlike a reverse situation in India - a prime reason for Canada inducing Immigration . In the end they had charged me 500 dollars for a week's stay. New comers please don't get in to the trap in the eagerness to stay with Indian families and help for pick up , SIN card, PR card etc. What I found is that the things are extremely transparent in Canada, It is very easy to move around, find locations, and 2 out of 5 are Desis anyway to seek help ...
