General: Lacking sense of humour amongst us...

...ses for "sense of humor" these days either. Most comedy shows and TV shows that pretend to be humourous are lame, silly, devoid of any fun and frankly in bad taste. It is rare to find something that is light-hearted, truly universal fun. I recall the old Indian films that had great comedy actors such as Johnny Walker, Mehmood, etc. - they were truly and genuinely funny without being silly and lame. Even in Hollywood/West, we had great comedy actors that were fun to watch. ...

When people do not have a roof above their heads and everyday is a matter of survival for the majority, what use is my shame? I am deeply aware that every civilization must progress on its own terms, in its own time. There are no short cuts to uplifting more than half of a country with 1.2 billion people into a developed state. I have done my own bit towards that cause, and I will continue to do what I can, but in my lifetime it is very unlikely that there will be no beggars on the street, or that people will stop relieving themselves in public view, or that I...

Also I have seen some Lady Desi's have their daycare near the office and hence they travel to work with their child and then pick the child upon return and immediately go to a drop in centre / park in summer / rec. facility (while food is cooked at home by the other spouse). they come back and relax , watch TV, play with kids and end the day that way.
