Very mature points / opinion: ...ponsibilities, etc) leaves no time for any other aspects of life.
The money seemed good in the beginning because of our instincts of converting everything to rupee terms. But, the money now seems good enough only to pay all regular bills.
The positive thing, of course, is the Canadian medical system which is still lot more reliable than Indian. In India, you have to know good doctors. Here too, bad doctors are there but even they meet certain minimum standards.
Overall, Canada is not all that great, but I have to live somewhere. Going back to India has its own problems. So, live with the evil you know, than the one you don't know enough.

I think you are asking about H-1B processing.
If it's processed under priority processing (which cost $1000 more) then it's less than one month. If it's filed under normal processing then it's anywhere between 4 to 6 months.
Regarding the H-1B visa, it will be issued the day after your interview at consulate.

I agree. An individual carries with them in their lives all sorts of identities - ie/ Indian, canadian, male, female, young, old, a book lover, pet lover, computer whiz etc. Being born and raised here, I am a canadian.. however having my physical roots here (which I feel) I also feel a kinship with India... and people from India because they are part of my 'identity' too. Does that make sense?
I think it depends on parents quite a bit - my parents always encouraged us to enjoy the best of both worlds, learn about ...

Clarification: ...e to talk to people about their life and his/her own. Come promotion time, if both you and that person are the same from a work capacity, chances are that second person would be considered FIRST because he's jsut more visible !!!
Scenario : You go to a restaurant to eat. The waiter takes your order, brings you your food, you eat, pay and leave. Basically this waiter jsut did his bare minimum job and you probably gave him bare minimum tip. You go to another place, the waiter is friendly, smiles, talks to you, wouldn't you pay a better tip to this person? Wouldn't you wish the same person provided service to you next time?
Scenario: There's a teacher who does his/her job of teaching, ...

...i have sciatica pain and yesterday doc asked for an mri,
well i do live in a tier 2/3 city in india, but still started a hunt for an inexpensive option, today
called civil hospital (whom i trust the most after railway ones, my father retired from indian railways) , civil informed politely, that they do have CT but no Mri
next option a private imaging place which quoted INR6000 but later came down to 4000.
Next went to wokdhart , they nice angels, a first, real big private hospital in my city, quoted 3500 as a package
finally blocked time for coming monday at the medical college in my city...
