Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp., a government-run agency, will buy as much as C$25 billion ($21.6 billion) in mortgages from the banks, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said today in Ottawa. The lenders will get cash, giving them more money to lend to consumers and businesses....... ...

Moving Soon: to reach windsor - Detriot ? or Toronto?
Started by: skyleuven on 20 Jul 2006
...on. Don't they have flights from Brussels to AMS (although, it would be a real short one)? AMS to DTW has a lot of flights, especially during summer. If you enter US, you will be a transit passenger. Assuming you hold an Indian passport, you will be required to fill in an I-94 and then be fingerprinted, photographed per US-VISIT regulations. Immigration is not all that difficult, yes, there might be lines, but that depends on the time of arrival and how many flights have come in at the same time. Also, the US immigration may ask you to show proof of continuing travel to Canada and your would-be status in Canada....

...nd of mine asked me to give you the name and number of a successful Indian immigrant architect here. Satish Chopra- 905-840-9917 in Brampton Depending upon where you are you might have to dial 1-905-840-9917. The gentleman is a very helpful person and might give you some tips on what to do. Just some trivia to strike up a conversation with him. One of his sons is studying medicine in the Caribbean somewhere, I think Trinidad- supposedly at a well recognised university and his other is studying at Appleby gearing up to go to Cornell University next year. If you just mention that you got his name from a friend at Cornell, he will be more than willing to help you. I hear he has even invite...

Or, stay put until you save enough (~2-4 Crores) before you could move to an Indian Metro of your choice. That's the reality, my dear friend....

When you replied: ...versity grads make :cuss: [/quote] DT, when you replied to Vanthemadaram's post, I thought that it must have been your BMW's car tire that was slashed in Lansing... Now I know that it is not your car. On a more serious note, I am wondering if you are living in Indian mentality or the NA mentality. Here in NA, Manual labour is the king. Any thing which requires hard physical labour is paid more, b'cos we just donot have enough people to do it. I know of Architects and Engineers working in their professional lines (at entry level) for $8-$12 an hour and you know about the volunteer program. Much as I hate excess salaries shelled out, I prefer my $13.50 an hour job sitting in an A...
