I have asked my uncle, a middle class Delhi resident since over 20 years, what he thought of AK, and he said "bugger's a clown". The old man you spoke to must have seen the same "paid media" which is reporting that Modi is not allowing AK to work. I personally think AK is like a kid with a new, expensive toy that he got as a gift. He has no idea how it works, has no interest to learn how it works, and only cries that it doesn't work, or that his mother doesn't...

Our Native Country!: Future of Indian Political Equation - who will rule India ?.

Even though this equation is proving true in Kerala, Tamilnadu is next in line to prove this theorem. The problem is not only the dot-com crash, but also the outsourcing technical jobs to India, which continues as corporations realize they can pay an Indian only 20% of what they must pay a similarly qualified employee in the Bay Area. Fewer people in the Bay Area means less demand for housing. It recently cost $3623 to rent a UHaul from San Jose to the midwest, but only $1800 to move the other way. This is because far more people are moving out of the Bay Area than are moving in. UNQUOTE FACT And how many people settle in GTA every year? You are right, 70% of the 300,000 ...

...lic services are much-much better here in Canada. The real problem guys here is educated immigrants are not getting proper jobs and this brings frustation. People who say that who asked you to come to Canada - Desi's think that if canadian govt. web site is saying something, then they believe it & think candian govt. cannot lie (if indian govt. is saying they may not believe). Everybody who immigrated expect that they will be able to get proper job in their field in maximum 1-2 years (this is absolutely reasonable) and when they come and realise (also after HRDC guys tell that apply for customer service/sales associate/labor, etc. jobs) after applying-applying & no replying. This is...

Just Landed: You will Succeed!
Started by: Anandramnath on 23 Jun 2004
...Before anything, I humbly submit that I was able to wriggle out of the 'Canada new immigrant shackle' only through the grace of god. If I may, here are some tips for 'succeeding' in Canada (Most of this has been discussed before) - 1) Think long term - Bring enough money to sustain yourself for 6 months atleast. There is no need to press the panic button, as there are atleast 31 million success stories. (Most of them are immigrants, or their parent's have been immigrants...

My duaghter was crying of throat pain and she didnt find it fit to call us and tell my daughter is sick and on top of it she publicly held my daughters arm while we were walking home and accused my daughter of singing in class....

... that 150 years festival in Gandhinagar in 1992. But what makes me sad, is that the same people, who follow all the rules of civic manner, maintain cleanliness and orderliness, do not behave in the same way once they are out of temple premises. I am not talking of any particular group of people or sect, I am talking about we Indians at whole. We do not mind obeying the rules in religious places, but do not mind breaking them once we are out of that place. We are fearful of sin, but not fearful of the law. In India, I rarely go to temples, but I have heard mixed response of different temples. The EMI temple in Vadodara is very organized and clean. I do not have the recollection of Am...

...My application for PR is in process and I recently received passport request from CHC-London Office. My son (included in my application for PR) is already studying in Canada (currently on a student visa). I am an Indian Citizen working and residing at Kuwait. CHC London office asked me in their letter to send all passports together, so I obtained my son’s passport from Canada through FedEx courier service, bundled it together with all our passports and sent to London office. After 2 days, I received a phone call from FedEx –Kuwait asking me to return passports to them as there are some clea...

Our Native Country!: 2004 The Year of Thaw Global glory for India /& TERROR OF TSUNAMI??

...or a regional summit promised reconciliation between warring neighbours, allowing them for once to concentrate on economic development and social growth. It was the big diplomatic story of the year, which began with the dramatic SAARC summit and will ring out with a meeting of the Indian and Pakistani foreign secretaries in Islamabad next week. And for once, India was not another suitor courting the US and the world's major powers. Instead, it was the prima donna feted by the powers-that-be in the new international order. In short, signs of an Indian century were visible for anyone who has an eye for such details. A New Delhi-based Western diplomat captured this exultant mood wel...

In fact Sagarika’s extended family even consists of her aunts Ruma Pal (former Supreme Court justice and a close friend of the Nehru family) and Arundhati Ghose (former diplomat and Indian ambassador to various countries, predictably, under Congress regimes). 11. Let’s now come to another famous CNN-IBN media personality who also writes columns frequently for Hindustan Times — Karan Thapar. What you may not know is that the Nehru family itself is related, through blood and marriages, to the high-profile Thapar family. India’s Army chief during the 1962 debacle against China, Gen. P. N. But before going to the BLS office here in Toronto wanted to get some tips, so that I don't have to make visits again for missing anything. They still have the stupid requirement of a "light colored (not white)" photo. None of the regular passport photo places in Toronto have anything other than white background. I remember for mine, ...

In the attempt to help Sri Lanka, India lost Rajiv Gandhi. Scores of Lankan leaders have lost their lives too. The issue for us though- Kashmir. The mighty Indian force has not been able to curb the problem. Rather, it is aggravating with each passing day. When we claim about the peace in valley a train or a place of worship is bombed, to prove how phony the claim is. It is ironic that powerful nations bomb weaker nations in the name of peace. The logic of this dubious strategy could be summed up by this paraphrased statement of a US soldier in Viet...

That is why Indian movies and TV serials rae full of drama and emotion. When Indians have consistently elected Kangress for 65 years, there is no way they will elect BJP this time. Since Independence, demography has changed. Now no party can win without Muslim support. Hindu are divided on caste lines. V.P. Singh must be laughing from the Hell.
