Moving Soon: Landing in october....require help with furnished accommodation for 15 days
Started by: New immigrant on 18 Jul 2014
You misunderstood: ... I did not know of a monthly pass. No one was there to educate me. Now comes a desi from Dubai on a tight budget. For 15 days, he and his family has to eat , right? I am assuming that he might spend $ 30 a day (if he buys groceries and cooks). So this is $ 450. I am leading him to food banks where he can save $ 100 to $ 200 for the first 15 days,. So he will have $ 100-$ 200 to spend extra on his rent. May be he will get a more decent accomodation where he will enjoy. I am not bringing my car to his house and taking him to the food bank and helping him with the registration. I am giving him ideas only. If he is lazy to cook, let him use a soup kitchen. Instead of filling the stomach of a...

...No worries about schools. Actually Waterloo has a decent crowd and so any school is OK. There is a particular community which deals with drugs and guns and violence in Canada but that community is very negligible in Waterloo and hence it is a very decent town. So just go ahead and put your children in any school. I used to live in Belmont Avenue and the school near by was very good. Belmont Ave. has condo's (which is occupied by whites) which is safe and has Gym, Sauna etc.. Rent is very nominal (around $ 850 for a 2 bed apartment). This is at Waterloo- Kitchener intersection. Kitchener is a little bit...
