dear all,
request advice on some aspects regarding life at school for classes 8 and 10..
1. do children carry books to and from school? if so, about how big a backpack do they usually carry? would a standard day backpack do?
2. is homework completed, during prep at school or do the students carry it home?

Yes. A Standard backpack should suffice. It also depends on the subjects choosen. Accordingly they'll have to carry as many books

Prep at School ??? Atleast the school my child attended, they had no "prep at school". All homework was either;
1. brought home,
2. completed at a friends place, in case of groups assignments, or
3. completed in school outside of regular school hours, ie after/before school in the library
