Hi,
I was wondering, if one pay GST+PST for an item bought on ebay shipped within canada (from Alberta to Ontario)? Any experience?

Pst for goods purchased in the same province only.
You will have to pay only GST. E.g: I regularly buy stuff from a retailer in ontario and pay only GST.

Here is the situation:
I did bidding on an item which was located in Alberta, I paid shipping+handeling for it to be shipped from there to Ontario. The parcel I received comes from Tampa, Florida and I am charged GST+PST through customs plus handling charges by Canada post. I want all this clarified before I dispute it on ebay. How should I go about resolving this case. Description of item never mentioned that it will be shipped from US, and that I will have to pay an extra handling and GST on it.

Usually the seller puts in a clause to be contacted for shipping info/clarifications. However, If you feel you were deliberately misled(i think you were) you can dispute the extra charges. I really do not understand how you are expected to pay pst for the item if the sale has been made out of the province(alberta/tampa). The extra gst for canadapost is the sellers responsibility too(unless it was mentioned in the auction listing before the bid).
I have heard of Duties on some ebay items coming from outside Canada. This seems to be different. Something does not add up.

Sub Total Can$49.99
Shipping: Ground Can$5.95
Taxable Amount Can$55.94
Tax Total Can$3.36
Grand Total Can$59.30
One cannot charge pst if the buyer is in an other province.

The very fact I like bidding on items located in Canada is to avoid duty etc. This was listed as located in Canada. Now it is posted from Florida and over that I have to pay GST+PST+Handling. I am going to dispute this.
