Can someone please enlighted me about the sponcership process in canada. While my parents are here on visit to canada with a 3 year multiple entry visa could I sponcer them within canada under the family class. lot of people told me I can and now some people say you cant
. Please do let me know how to get this process done as I really need them here and been away from them for too long. Please... Please advise me of a good way to get it done.

You can sponsor your parents if you are a PR/Citizen and you meet the eligible income cut off. Read more about it here:

The sponsorship process takes close to five years so apply soon. It doesnt matter where your parents are at the time of your application. I don't quite understand what your question is about your parents visitor visa.

Regardless of how long their visa is for, they can legally stay for only 6 months unless an extension is applied for and granted. I doubt they would be able to obtain too many consecutive extensions.
As fass stated, sponsorship for PR is a separate issue and depends on whether you meet the criteria. There are situations, when the PR is in process, it might be difficult to obtain a visit visa. But if they already have one, they can visit.

Thanks for messaging.My parent are here right now and wondering if I could sponcer them while they are in Canada and they have a 3year multiple visa but when they landed they stamped it for 6months i guess 6 months at a time. so just wondering could I extend the stay and have them here while their application is in process. Plz advise I'm so worried as they are helping me at a difficult time.

Technically you CANNOT. My folks were here too and I got them 2 extensions at the most and I even tried to apply through Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds ( A Genuine case of being only child and finance ) but the officer sees it from a difference perspective so for them, unless there is ultimate hardship or extreme case of single parent/only child, the chance is less then dim. So they can stay here with you for 18 months max ( with 2 extensions and genuine reasoning , anymore than that they can get suspicious and you can go to US and come back but might risk being refused entry after that ) so like all of us, you need to apply here, wait for 40 months and then another 2 years in India

Sorry to hear about your sittuation, hope you will be able to get them down soon.I'm a canadian citizen and have my parents hear on a visit visa and wondering if I could apply for them to immigrate to canada from hear.I was wondering if i could process there papers in country while they are in the country.And what methods could I apply for them. I am super duper clueless so please advise.

Sponsoring parents is a 2 Step Process
Process 1
Getting Approved yourself: You have to show the government that you make X amount of money in a given year to be approved.It's called FICO and minimum of 3 people ( You and parent(s) ) will be around 32K, that number changes every year and also depends if there more people so your husband will increase that figure, now you and husband can sponsor together as well but they go by how many people will be together.
Besides this, you cannot have Criminal History or Bankruptcy
This process is called In-Canada time and the current processing time is 38 months for people who applied in July, 2007 and I can't even imagine the numbers for someone who applies today
Once you get approved
Process 2
Your parents take that approval and CAN apply in Country of Origin or in a country where they have residency ( i.e, minimum of 1 year ) - in other words, it cannot be Canada as they are only temporary visitors for max of 6 months at a time
So in most cases, it is India and that is another 18 months average where they have to pass medical test and then get the PR
Canadian Govt is pretty open about not wanting Parents here as they want economic immigrants and parents cause nothing but a burden to their system. Parents are normally 60+ and its obvious everyone will have some issues here and there and on top they make the medical tests tough as well
Sorry to disappoint you but that's the truth and I wish people knew that they will go through this when they leave their family behind. We are close to our parents and the system turns a blind eye to the tax paying public while letting refugees in.
