My mother travelled from cochin to toronto last week, she did not get both her check-in luggages in toronto airport. She came by emirates till london and then by air canada till toronto.
After 4 days we got one baggage, Even after 8 days they still continue to trace the other baggage. Customer service of air canada is a pain for it's customers. I have to wait atleast for 45 minutes on the phone call before i get someone on the other side.
Air canada is asking me to submit a claim form. Can someone suggest me how to go about this? I read in their web site that the maximum compensation they give is 20 USD per kilo.
Did anyone had such bad experiences before?

I had similar situation when I arrived at Calgary airport via Frankfurt on Emirates - Air Canada connection flight.
I filled in baggage lost form at the airport baggage counter and next day they called me and delivered all the lost baggage to my address.
