Helsinki, Dec 15 (IANS) Nordic carrier Finnair Saturday reported a 4.5 percent rise in its passenger load factor in November. Finnair's passenger load factor has risen to 73 percent as the airline saw a strong increase in Asian and European traffic. According to the airline, its Asian traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres (RPK) grew by 15.6 percent and traffic in Europe increased by 12.3 percent a on a year-on-year basis. "In November, we saw continuing strong development in our traffic performance. Traffic growth continued to exceed the growth of overall capacity, contributing to the improvement in load factors year-on-year," said Erno Hilden, chief financial officer, Finnair. The airline's traffic measured in RPK rose 10.5 percent as the overall capacity grew by 3.6 percent on a year-on-year basis. Segment-wise, the airline's leisure traffic measured in RPK grew by 7.1 percent, as capacity grew by 18.7 per cent year-on-year. However, in the cargo segment, the airline's traffic measured in revenue tonne kilometres decreased by four percent as the overall capacity decreased by 12.8 percent.
