RRSP SUCKS.
Any idea on this topic please. I am still learning Canadian structure.
I believe your friend is right...RRSP is lowering your tax bracket now but giving you lower rate of return and then paying taxes when you tck it back. RRSP is blocking of money, in a way.
when you need money n decide to remove funds from RRSP account you have to calculate tax burden as well. if you have moved to higher tax burden from previous income level....there u go u will end up paying higher tax for under or equal to inflation risen value of your money.
I believe other sources are much better. your call.
thanks.

With out any doubt, the stock market in india can give you better returns than in canada.
when i saw the rate of returns of some mutual fund companies here ,india is a better market.
Is there any body who is a mature investor ?

There is not a single investment which can be good for every one. What can be good for me may not be good for some one else and so on. Any investment which is done in RRSP on in an open account depends on each individual's situation.
Money invested in RRSP is for the retirement purposes and every body has different and unique situation. The time frame may differ, the risk tolerance may differ, tax bracket may differ, capacity of invest may differ etc.
A financial planner would sit with you and understand your unique situation, time frame, risk tolerance, tax bracket, objectives and so many other things before suggesting any investment suitable for you.
If you need help in investing in RRSPs/RESPs or any other financial matter you can contact or PM me for a no obligation meeting.
