We are soon moving to Canada. I keep reading various comparisons of various provinces and cities in Canada in order to decide which place is better to settle.
And I have seen that long queues and waiting period for appointments even in critical medical situation is a problem in Canada.
Can anyone tell which province has a good health care system?
OR
which province has lesser queue problems in this regard?
I read some of the cases here, where someone needed immediate medical attention but had to wait for weeks/months. I can well imagine what his near and dear ones had to go through feeling helpless. And also what the patient himself had to go through during that time.
Here in Chandigarh, we never have to face any such problem of waiting cause even the private doctors are within reach. So I guess before planning which city to move to, I shall ask where the medical facilities are better.
Please do respond. Thanks
Why do you wish to move to Canada?

hehe ... good question.
My observation is that if the health care system is good (or better), you end up paying a lil bit more on your taxes.
There is nothing like free lunch
Please don't put your moving-to-city decision based on health care system. Such public system can change in future.

My visa is already due. I am expecting to get it this/next month. But now I am comparing various cities to decide where to land. That's why I asked you guys this question.
And like many other guys there, I am also moving for social security for me and my family.
As l5a has written you should not decide the city on just one factor. More important would be to decide which city or province has more job oppurtunities in your field.
And what social security are you talking about? Can you please explain that?

I think he means Canada's advanced social setup, Quality of life in the soceity and its superior technology and not welfare as the post might have led you to assume.
Toronto (from my experience) has good medical system but i canot assure you the quality of treatment or the knowledge of doctors.
others can tell about their province/ cities.
