I am gujarati male very honest, friendly, cooperative and helpful. I need a true friend with whom I can hang out, share my knowledge, tears and happiness. It is very hard to find true friends nowadays. I have had several friends in my life but they all have used me just called me when they needed something from me and then they dont even know me and when I need something or like to share something they ignore me. I have had several bad experiences in my life. So now I am looking for a honest and true friend with whom I can enjoy this beautiful life. I am interested in new immigrant or someone who is already settled here but is very honest and is willing to maintain the friendship forever and not use me. That is true but we need 1 good friend since it is so boring, being lonely.
Well people will not just come up to you and say, "Hello, I want to be your true friend" So be proactive, and get yourself "out there".
Here are a few ideas you can try:
Organise a bbq for a few of your neighbours, doesn't have to be huge affair - something small and intimate will suffice. Make the effort to get to know them.
Invite work colleages you have a rapport with over for dinner.
Join a gym, and get to meet lots of other guys and gals. I recommend joining in one of those group workouts regularly as you will most likely see the same people over and over and before you know it - you've got friends.
Check out your local library for social events that are happening in your area or join a book club.
Also, "true" friendships are built over time.
Good luck.

Thanks for the great ideas I will work on it.
'True' friends are indeed hard to find these days. You just have to be careful. True friends don't use each other for selfish purposes. It is best to cut off connections with those types of people, because most, if not all, will not learn their lesson or improve their habits. These are people who have no values, and only have interntions for their own gain. The Lord is very loving to his true devotees, so you are a true friend to your friends, then you will surely find a true friend(s).
Here is a really touching poem that I found on the net, entitled ~ FRIENDS ~:
As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.
These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.
Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.
This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,
Remain forever near.
FRIENDSHIP IS A PRICELESS GIFT
THAT CANNOT BE BOUGHT OR SOLD
BUT ITS VALUE IS FAR GREATER
THAN THE MOUNTAIN MADE OF GOLD
FOR GOLD IS COLD & LIFELESS
IT CAN NEITHER SEE NOR HEAR
& IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE
IT IS POWER LESS 2 CHEER--
IT HAS NO EARS 2 LISTEN
NOR HEART 2 UNDERSTAND
IT CANNOT BRING U CONFORT
OR REACH OUT A HELPING HAND
SO WHEN U ASK
GOD FOR A GIFT
BE THANKFUL IF HE SENDS
NOT DIAMONDS, PEARLS OR RICHES
BUT THE LOVE OF REAL TRUE FRIENDS
Never heard of "Untrue Friend" !!!
