First of all it was great to see encouraging and positive discussions in this forum. What I like about Canada..
When I was very new, one night I was trying to call India and forgot to dial 01 (international code) and started with country code. So I dialled 91 11 (for delhi) by the time I dialled 2 I heard someone saying hello (canadian accent). I realised that I had dialled 911 by mistake and got so scared that I disconnected. I got a call from them immediately and did not have the guts to answer so did not pick up the phone and asked my husband to take care of it. He picked up the phone and the woman at the other end asked if there was an emergency situation. He explained to her that I was trying to dial delhi... she understood and said that it was ok, "we were just worried that something is wrong and we were going to dispatch emergency crew. So next time something happens please talk and just tell us that everything is ok."
I dont want to compare this incident to a similar situation in India (I leave that to your imagination) but I was blown away by the genuine concern the woman at the other end had. She did not sound upset or annoyed at my stupidity...

Hi Changresh & deepcb,
I am much impressed of both of your logics,
Canada is for better life standards, we have to be suited for it for that i.e to share the contribution of others have to provide the contribution of us

Chandresh,
20+ good points mentioned below defeats the purpose when \" Chances of Good Job\" for an immigrant is meagre.......everything else seems fine...
Deep
Take this point as an addition to my earlier 21 points - such a situation forces you to become an entrepreneur, which otherwise is not possible with most of us since the security of job and a regular income makes us complacent and we are not able to discover our actual potential.
Don't we sometimes say that our employer is at a position where he is because of us employees - well, Canada forces you to bring out the greater potential in you (both in terms of productivity and 'sahanshakti') and actually translate your potential and pressed up desires to achieve more.
