Hi ,
I would like to clear few doubts -

1-before landing to toronto airport for immigration purpose ,shall i keep all my original certificates in hand?are they asking these certificates?

2-As I came to know tht admission of kids are on age basis not on the class previously they passed.
is it true?if yes then my daughter is 15 yrs old in which grade she will be admitted?she will be appearing for 10th cbse board this year.

Also many people are advicing not to get her admission done in canada now only after her 12th grade I should put her there.
No idea whats the logic behind it?anyone to clear this doubt??

3-IS it neccessary to apply for SIN card if I am visiting now for a week not moving permanently.[I read it somewhere tht it is not necessary just want to to be sure]

4-In the list of goods to follow-do we require attested price list of goods/original bills?
5-Do I need to mention about clothes and books etc general daily utility items also with estimated price in the list of goods to fellow?

Thanks in advance

I do not think you need to show original certificates (Educational, Experience etc). You need to show Immigration papers only.

Most probably, your daughter will be admitted into Grade 11 if she can answer Maths and English tests well.

SIN card is required for employemnt only. You may not need it if you plan to return after a week.

I think not required. Better you carry them if you already have. In our case, we did not have receipts for most of the items. Immigration officer asked us to bring original receipt for 24 ct Gold only when we bring it to Canada.

You may list them as a lot with estimated price.

We came from Bahrain, kids adjusted quickly. Adaptability depends from person to person and way of thinking !

I deliberately avoided answering this question since I am not able to decide in my own case. Your concern was adaptability and you got satisfied with Neerupam's reply. I can not add more since I never lived there.

I forgot to advise you about jewellery. Please take photographs of all your jewellery and write a cross reference to your \"Goods to follow\" list. Some CD's advise to get the jewellery value assessed by autherised agency. Please search \"moving soon\" section for more details.
