Friends,
I came across an exclusive interview of Sabeer Bhatia, the 'Hotmail' man, thought of sharing with you..........the most interesting part, I have highlighted in "...." at the bottom. Do read that atleast if you do not want to read the whole story.

Exclusive: India's most eligible bachelor can't net a bride!

Sabeer Bhatia tells Subhash K Jha why the "Hotmale" reputation has become an embarrassment. How have you coped with the broken engagement? I’ve been in India with close family and friends for three months. I needed to discover what really mattered to me. After all, marriage is a very big decision. Now I’ve to be careful about whom I take into confidence. This break to visit my country has helped me understand our attitude to marriage and compatibility in a way I never did. Today I’m a changed person. I now view marriage very differently. The qualities I look for in my partner today are entirely different from what I looked for earlier on. Now I’m looking for someone who’s genuinely loving and caring. Discuss: Let's pick a bride for Sabeer Bhatia! Aren’t those a given in any partnership? Not in in the US. I used to look at superficialities, like physical beauty and grace. After spending time with the older generation, I realised in India they’ve figured out the secret to a successful marriage. When you tell a matriarch in this country you’re getting married the first thing she asks is, "What kind of a nature does she have?" All the things that I was looking for don’t make a marriage. A man who makes billions didn’t know the secret formula! (laughs) I guess so. Now I’ll wait for the right woman. It can happen in a week or a year. Can Jassi fit the bill? Who? She’s the iconic girl nextdoor on a soap whom the public has chosen as your perfct bride! You’re kidding me! Isn’t this taking the arranged marriage too far? (Laughs) It’s pretty shocking since I don’t even know this person. You’re supposed to be the country’s hottest male. I don’t know how to react to that. Honestly, I don’t know who this Jassi is. I must watch her serial. You haven't been lucky in love. No, I haven’t, I must admit, it’s so true. The higher you go, the lonelier it gets. What was the main bone of contention between you and your ex-fiancee? I think there were fundamental differences in our personality. I met Geeta Oberoi last year in Washington DC. What made us come together was our similar educational and family background. She's a balanced synthesis of Indian and American culture. In that sense she was quite similar to me. Because she lived close by, I liked the fact that I got to know her closely before I made this very important decision in my life (marriage). Because I live in the US, I really don’t get a chance to know anyone in India well enough. I can’t be seen with any woman here without being linked with her. I liked the fact that Geeta wasn’t a ‘STAR’, know what I mean? If you really look at my real life, I'm not the glamorous entity that India makes me out be. I really don’t want to get into our differences. We decided it was better to part. Now I’m looking into the future. How are you doing professionally? The last few weeks have seen a dramatic change in my fortunes. My voicemail service Navin Mail Service is finally profitable in India. We already have over one million subscribers. I was brought in to salvage the company in its last stages. We’ve been able to save the company. There’re a couple of other projects , including one with TOI internet which really excites me. But are any of these as big as Hotmail? I think Hotmail was only a beginning. Who knows in the next five years I may do something even more momentous. I’m working on a project of this nature. It’s a question of hit and miss. There was a setback in my life for a few months. But now I’m delighted to be back. Work is fantastic therapy for personal grief. Now, when I return to San Francisco next week I’m a different person.

"Are you looking at settling down in India?
Yes that is a possibility. I am very comforted by the progress in India. For the first time I see a lot of optimism in the people. There’s a lot of positive international media blitz about India’s eight-percent growth and over a hundred billion in foreign-exchange reserves. But to me all that is secondary. What's vital is the confidence of the people. I’m delighted at the professionalism and public courtesy even in government organisations. On the roads you see all these sleek cars. The restaurants are full. The young people are full of dreams... you can see it in their eyes. We need to look beyond the corruption and dirt at the moral fibre of India. I’m actually very very tempted to return to India and settle down in Bangalore or Mumbai. I find life in the US very lonely. No one seems to care about you. During my stay here, I haven’t been lonely for even a minute. That’s what has helped me get over my crisis. I’ve so many friends in Delhi. Mumbai and Bangalore. They’ve all been with me. I don’t know anyone in India who’s lonely. I think I’m going to find my life partner in India. But right now I’m not seeing anyone. It’s too soon…. ""

You look for a relationship each time you date a girl. That is so true. I do.
