As we are moving back to India after staying five year in Canada. What's your suggestion / opinion about it ? Is there any rule(new policy) to maintain Canadian citizenship?
Once you are a Citizen, no matter where you stay, you are still a citizen. Some of the things could be different like your retirement benefits etc as they depends on your stay and work in Canada. Some people prefer to file Canadian Income Tax (as a non-resident canadian), though is it not requirement.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that if one is a Canadian PR or citizen (even non residents), he/she has to report income from all sources.
Thats a misconception .. If you have cut "residential ties' with Canada per CRA's definition , you do not have to report world income ... Google .

Do we file Indian Income Tax return after immigrating to Canada? We don't evenif we are Indian Citizens (at least for first few years). The same goes with Canadian Citizens residing aboard.

hey man..whats the reason of your decision to shift to India..please share with our fellow CD's for some of your experience that prompted you to take this step..? financial, family or something else
Best option is if one can find a niche dhandha where you can live (summer + fall) in Canada and the winter in India. Of course, kids education should be calibrated accordingly.
