That's TK guys, just when you think he is done, he will come back with something weirdly funny....
TK, a question for you.... Who was the great soul who came to Canada because he didn't like to see fat dark people back in India? Was that you or anyone you know? I, on behalf of all the CDs, would like to honor them with a medal or something for being the dumbest racist weirdo ever.
I had to login to comment on this (I am usually a fly-by lurker)... TK has got it right in the post above! I like how he makes a comprehensive list of things. Anyways... should the OP come to Canada or should he stay home?
That question is very hard for anyone to answer. Afterall, it is their perspective and a summary of their life experience and expectations. It is this elusive paradigm that YOU may succeed where others failed, YOU may go places where no other went before that might keep your longing to try a FOREIGN LAND alive and nag you to no end. If you had nothing to lose by moving here, it would have made the decision making easier but you are living well but want more... You could focus on what can be done to achieve more in India since you are already doing well and are into something or other. If you move here, the paradigm shift may turn out to be so big that it might force you to start at the bottom. Are you willing to do that? Do you casually cook, clean, wash and other simple chores in India? If you are used to having hired help around your house, you and your wifey may have a rude awakening after arriving here. My honest suggestion for you is to set aside the rosy landscapes your relatives in the US are painting and try to make a VERY SERIOUS effort to see if you can broaden your business opportunities in India and try to visit your relatives in the US and discover their true lifestyles in their native state; people embellish things and soon it all becomes tall tales. These tales are fine until the relatives in India actually move in with these American relatives and observe them for real.
I was bitten by curiosity when I was still a teen back in India and it lead to a lifelong cruise across the planet; I can assure there ain't nothin out there that will make ya happy unless you look within...

My dear NJ33,
My fellow CD's has given the best picture of canada and now its u r turn to make a decision. I would like to give my 2 cents on your situation..its again my perception need not be followed.
As far as i understood, u have a good decent life(weather its paved by parents or by ur self) back there and would like to come here for what???
1> Do you want more money ?..then stay there as u wont be taking along with you when you "Passed"
2>Do you want better/cleaner/peacefull lifestyle?..hmm this you can get it but under the cost of some losses like explained by other CD's
3>Do you want better education for kids?..hmm i would say education is better back there and grad/postgraduation here will add more value.
sorry i wanted to add and analyszie more..but some thing came just now..got to go out..will add later.
cheers
