Hello Fello CD,s,
We are moving to Calgary in First week of March with 3 Family Members ..I will appreciate if CD in calgary can Guide us on following.
a) any service appartment/basement /motel with Kitchen as we have 4 Year child for 10-15 Days initial..
b) any good Prekindergarten schools in NW or SW localities .
c) Indian Localities loc & near some grocery ,Hospitals etc..

Here are requested info -
a. Try Regency Suites in Calgary downtown. Many of our friends stayed there & happy with services. Just google
b. There are lot many pre-kindergarten schools in Calgary. But it depends on where you stay. I know one which in SW Bridlewood. Try 'Apple Tree' play school
c. Most of Indian groceries are in NE in Calgary. But if decide to stay in SW ( depends on where ) it may be 40-50 Kms. one way. Not a big deal if its once a month

Is there any one moving to Canada from Qatar in this year 2010?
I'm planning to settle in AB (either Edmonton or calgary) depends where I can find jobs.I'm from Oil & gas field, at present working in a gas company.I request all Senior Cds to come forward & give me their kind suggestions or advice regarding my relocation plans.I had my first landing in Aug-2008 at YYC.I did not submitted any kind of list called\" Goods to follow list\" I'll thankful if anyone can guide me what shall I do If I wanted to bring Cargo from Qatar to AB.Appreciate serious suggestions from all Desis.

Im planning to move by the end of this year from AlKhobar. I am also in the same boat as you are, i made my first landing in Sept 2008 to Toronto & now planning to move in Calgary. my question is Is it okay to make such a move to calgary after making a first landing at YYC??

Some good areas in SW are Evergreen, Somerset, Bridlewood, Mill Rise, Shawnessey
All this areas have good bus service from Calgary Transit.
Somerset is near to Train station.
Also some good schools & 3 new schools are going to start this season
NW is spread out so not sure which is better
