Hi everybody !

Returned to the site after a really long time. Had a query.... according to CIC website a new system is being followed for applicants after 2008. Now my consultant tells me that I need to re-apply under the new system in case i need to fast track my application as under the new system the decision is made within 1 year. And in case i choose not to, then my file remains under the previous system with no clear answers as to when the process would be complete.

I have posted a query to CIC delhi asking for answers.

Any thoughts ..... anyone? In case i dont get a response from CIC then intend writing to the Canadian Immigration Minister to make up his mind whether Canada is interested in an immigration policy inviting immigrants to the country or to have a policy just to con people into paying and then waiting endlessly and watch helplessly as policies and rules are changed without any clear indication as to what happens to the previous applicants.

Feel CIC should just refund our fee with interest in case they want us to apply under the new system. After all what is the assurance that once we apply under the new rules... some other system is not put into place before our turn comes !!

When things looked pink and rosy, Canada was a haven to head to. Not that is not any better. For those who wanted to get in a few years ago, when they remove those shades that they were wearing, it looks like any other place, but with more of the unemployed wandering the streets. We are in troubled times and for those at the higher end who run the system, do not see past them or behind them as they are wearing blinders. It is jobs that we all need and not new immigrants, yet.
Yes we need you, but can you come down and join those who are currently in pain and suffering and without jobs? Or create one for yourself and a few more?

We had no better system in existence at the time you applied and paid for it. But your application was not for any specific job. So you joined the line up of all of the people from your home country. (India) The process is still in progress. Here are some of the facts and figures that I have collected since you posted your thread. Please form your own conclusions out of it.

If you want my opinion, I would urge you to wait out the time period and weather the storm together with the rest of the applicants. Is Canada interested in you? It will be borne out in their response to you. Now did they give due considerations to the applicants in the wait list when they considered the applications from the Temporary workers? In my opinion, NO. Because I do know a couple of hundred people who were employed in well paying jobs, who are still looking for suitable posts in the market and newer Immigrants are entering here and taking a few of them at a lower salary level or at the entry levels. The market is diluted and currently is in over supply and unemployed are in abundance.

So, let me ask you one genuine question. Do you want to leave a well paying job where you are and get Immigration into Canada or anywhere else for that matter and pound the pavement and join the unemployed and complain about those who get in on work permits?

So, everything is at a stand still now. Here is the new NOC list of jobs that they posted and see if you think your current job is in the list. If it is so, then jump out of the queue and get in on the fast track system.

Here is the NOC LIST (COMPLETE) : http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Concordance.aspx

Here is the new NOC list and the type of job applicants that they are looking for :

Dear Freddie,

Thanks for your reply. Don't know if you are a Canadian or another immigrant. But why do you guys always have to assume that all immigrants who land in Canada would add to the ones who are unemployed and on the streets. We had a different objective when we applied for immigration. Our offices have branches in Toronto and other cities so we would have asked for relocation. And by the way, if canada is not interested in people who applied before 2008, I think then they should refund the fee with interest. After all we did exactly what the application process directed us to do at the time. Further more if all is not so "pink and rosy" in Canada then please let them shut down the immigration office. At least this way others would not be fooled by the system.

Ciao
