As per OCI guidelines, one has to inform Indian Consulate if there is change in OCI holder's address, occupation etc. In Canada, it is common to change jobs and is it necessary to inform Indian cosulate every time, if there is change in job? (company, positon) Any thoughts?

The job title is annotated on the OCI card, which I think is silly.
What difference does it make if you are Sr. Sales Rep or Jr. Asst. Program Director?
I wonder what would happen if you do notify them...will they make you renew your card and charge you $25 + HST + VFS Processing Fee + HST?
Maybe you should try this out and report back how it went

there is no relevance of the position on this form . In my view we should fill what we are here today . it is not going to impact on the processing of the form, hope fully OCI not increases the Fee ... as I am in process of filing application.

Kaho,Piyo,Jiyo aur Maze se Zindagi bitao. ,Keep networking , CD's are doing great job !
OCI application is the most retarded process ever invented by indian government.
They want all the documents u can think of to prove u are a canadian when u submit the application, U have to make 3 visits to vfs and if u forget a single document guess what u get turned back..
1> In my case first i forgot the landing papers and instead took the goods to follow document by mistake..
2> My photo was not accepted and had to take a new one..
3> when i went for stamping the oci, they wanted a printout of online status without which they would not accept my passport..
Make sure u read and re read the required documents twice before u go to vfs
