On second thoughts, many here will suggest that if you believe in all of the following and can act accordingly, you shall have no problems:
You CAN get multiple job offers in a couple of weeks of landing. Miracles happen. One of very own members has been blessed with one only a year o so back. They can as well happen to you! Don't lose heart! Have faith in miracles!
To ensure that you get highly attractive multiple offers within a span a two weeks after landing, please follow the following instructions:
1. Stop watching Kyonki Saas...
2. Make one of the best Resumes.
3. Call up Manpower consultants in Canada and leave messages on their voice mail.
4. Repeat : Make GOOD resume
5.Practice interview skills, learn local lingo and anecdotes.
6. Read a lot on Canada.
7. English, English and English. Jao padhai karo.
8. Network (is ka mutlub yehan aaney ke baad samajh mein aa jayega)
9. Spend close to 10-12 hrs surfing the net every day with your wife.
Aur agar wife nahin hai, either get one else double that figure for yourself!
10. Yehan aaney ke baad, do not attend the Settlement session
11. Sleep at midnight and get up at 3AM and surf the net.
12. Surf the net on weekends when others are out shopping and meeting friends!
Remember, "others" HAVE to be out shopping/meeting friends. Surfing without making sure of that will not be of any use!!
13. Make sure you befriend the Librarian at Brampton Library and show her your resume.
14. Dress for the occasion.
15. Do not to buy steel bootss.
Baki bhagwan pe bharosa rakho!! After all GOD IS GREAT!!!

Ashwin. Read the success stories for advice from people on what worked for THEM. It may or may not work for you. Life has no guarantees but it is best to hedge the bets in your favor and read all the various threads about both the +ve and -ve experiences and figure out what you identify with.

I would say BIG YES.. Just do not listen to any senior or jounior desi. Listen what your heart says. Whatever be your profession. If you are earning Rs 10000 pm. You are wasting your life sitting in india. Just get out of it & see new avevneues & western world. Go ahead & apply... Rather I will suggest apply at same time both for australia & canada. Take loan if requires & apply..
