And even if it is a telemarketing job
You are not in Canada yet, right? So, let me try and explain what I was trying to say. There are some types of jobs here that are not at all difficult to get and telemarketing is one them. They usually pay close to minimum wage and sometimes also have commission. Just like getting a job that involves only labour, these are not the jobs that someone means when he says that he has been "successful". Get it?

You were on target. Bulls eye.
I thought you did not believe he has got a job.

Hi VJ, sorry I jugdged you harshly. Like someone said earlier, it was the " way you said it". Of course all of us go through this phase. Good luck, I sure hope you succeed.

dear VJ,
I have been following the thread.Congrats and best of luck for you future job hunt. I want to know from desis " where is the dignity of labour in the forum". Let us not discourage the newcomers by saying oh! its a labour job! or Oh! its a call centre job! etc. There is nothing wrong in VJ's statement that he has been sucessful in getting a job in his first attempt. What ever job it may be ,but it is a fact.
As far as VJ is concerened his main goal is to survive the initial period with out touching his savings. It is better than waiting to get in to his own field , watching his savings dwindling, finally panicking and blaming canada. Now he can focus on how to get himself additional qualification and get a job in his field.
Let us also not doubt about the desi's statements that are posted.
VJ has been very frank and honest.
ASK NOT THE SALARY! ASK NOT THE AGE OF WOMEN!

From what VJ has been saying, it is my guess that he is working as a TELEMARKETER.
