Lashkar-e-Qahhar, which says it has links with the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), on Saturday claimed responsibility for the 11/7 serial blasts that ripped through Mumbai’s commuter trains killing over 200 people.
In an e-mail to a TV channel, Lashkar-e-Qahhar stated that it had organised the blasts with its module of 16 people and not 14 as was being reported. It also claimed that all 16 people involved in the blasts were safe. The blasts, according to the e-mail, were in retaliation to the ground situation in Gujarat and Kashmir and was part of a series of blasts that it had planned on targets that include Mumbai’s international airport, Gateway of India, Taj Mahal and Red Fort, among others.
According to reports, intelligence agencies are trying to track the mail and the server from which it has been sent. Most officials claim that Lashkar-e-Qahhar could be a front for LeT and that investigations are on.
Meanwhile, panic spread in Mumbai after an anonymous phone call made to the railway police control room at 4 pm warned the authorities that a bomb would explode at Vile Parle station at 5 pm. "The police shifted people out of Vile Parle station at 4:30 pm and searched the station and trains, but nothing was found," said Western Railway PRO Pranay Prabhakar.
With the trains halted between Bandra and Andheri until 5.20 pm, commuters went into a panic, reaching out to their cellphones to call their loved ones and rushing out of stations. The authorities said the railways shut services because intelligence agencies have warned the city police to be on their guard.
"The station is never so empty on working days, but everyone ran helter-skelter after police asked people to leave," said bhelpuri seller Basant Kumar at the Vile Parle station. Kumar, who was one of the few people present at the station, said the sight of bomb-disposal squads and sniffer dogs on the platform had frightened people.
With the city’s lifeline brought to a standstill once again, merely four days after serial bomb blasts rocked the suburban trains on Tuesday, Mumbaikars who were returning home from work as well as those who had stepped out for a quick round of shopping, poured onto the streets and scrambled into the already-packed BEST buses. Working women clutching their tiffin boxes waited at bus stops, trying to hitch a ride on passing vehicles.
"The public announcement system said that trains were temporarily halted between Bandra and Andheri due to technical glitches," said Mahesh Dave, who calmly stepped out of Dadar station on hearing the announcement and stopped over at a relatives’ place at Vile Parle, only to return to the station an hour later.

--Mulayam supports SIMI and declares it non-terrorist
--No condemnation from Comunist parties
--No condemnation from any minority parties
All the Indians got was a meek statement from the weak PM , carefuly designed not to antagonize indian minorities

Non illigitamus carborundum
Looks like the mumbai blasts were just the beginning.
This article is from TOI:
As India tries to cope with the aftermath of the mayhem in Mumbai on Tuesday, it is bracing for a sustained terror campaign designed to target an atomic power plant, army installations, prestigious scientific institutions, the IT industry -- including one of its best-known faces -- economic institutions like SEBI and infrastructure projects like dams and power transmission lines.
What is most worrying is that terrorist groups have been able to net several recruits, putting paid to India's proud claim that not one Indian Muslim has been found involved in international terror.
Scripted by Pakistan's ISI, the war of terror to be unleashed on India has the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) as its spearhead.
