KABADDI COMES TO THE 129th ANNUAL POLICE GAMES
OCTOBER 16 – ROGERS CENTRE!

TORONTO, ON – October 10, 2011 – Sunday, October 16th marks the 129th Annual Police Games at Rogers Centre!

Friendly rivalries come to a head as Toronto Police take on pumped-up competitors from neighbouring law enforcement agencies and emergency services including Military Police from Base Borden, squads from Ontario Power Generation, Peel Regional Police, Toronto EMS, Toronto Fire, Toronto Jail, York Region Police, and York University Campus Police!

Witness the 2011 Police Games Superstars Obstacle Challenge – a display of strength, endurance, and speed! Cheer on your favourite Services’ team as they pull for pride as well as bragging rights in the Tug-Of-War – a perennial favourite!

Pushing competition to new heights and making its Games debut is Kabaddi – a thrilling team pursuit sport combining tag, red rover and mixed martial arts. Other Police Games highlights include the Toronto Police On Parade - a colourful march past and moving musical tribute from the Toronto Police Pipes & Drums; musical entertainment by Police Constable, Melissa Elaschuk of Toronto Police Services’ Traffic Services; the Police Dogs; and on display outside Rogers Centre – a variety of Canadian Military and Toronto Police and Fire Services vehicles!
