Does anyone trade thru Etrade, if yes how good is their service.

Currently I trade thru Bmo , however trading cost of 30 dollars against etrades 10 dollar is tempting me to swithover to etrade. I am not really focussing on active trader scheme, as I donot want to count and trade.

Been dealing with them for about 5 years. I've had no problems at all, either in terms of customer service or reliablility.

IB looks like a very proffessional one, yet cheap, I would go thru their site little more and then decide.

Does Etrade have a Canadian division to ?
And does Iteractive Brokers deal with US Stocks ?

I recently moved from US to Canada and am now a Canadian resident. I have an account with Scottrade in US and they are unable to keep my account open if I update my address to an address in Canada.
They are asking me to move it to a broker that supports that.

I have no idea who are the cheap online stock brokers in Canada. The $30 fee per trade compared to the $7 bucks of Scottrade looks like a rip-off. Like everything else in Canada, are stock trading fees high too ?

Anyways, I am not actively looking to trade, I just have stocks for one company, that I want to move to a stock broker in Canada and have it readily available when I want to sell it, instead of paying Scottrade $50 bucks to get a paper stock certificate.
