Greetings,
Can anyone tell me what is the limit (fixed $ value or percentage?) for non-Canadian investment within an RRSP?
Also, do the limits apply within one given RRSP account or across all your registered investments?
In other words, if the limit is 20% (for example), can I have 1 RRSP account containing more than 20% non-Canadian investments and another containing less in such a way that the total foreign content is within prescribed limits?
Final question - does the limit apply for contributions made during the current year or your overall portfolio, including all existing RRSP investments?
Thanks.

Quote from CRA website:
The foreign property limit of 30% you were allowed for foreign property in RRSPs or RRIFs, is cancelled effective January 1, 2005. This allows more international diversification opportunities for retirement investments.

Having no limit, makes your other Q's redundant.
