You've got your facts wrong here!

In 1981, the Pope was John Paul II, and while there was an assassination attempt on him, he didn't die.

John Paul II, did die during 2005.

I also don't see what the 'he he' (by Rajan) is about!

Try to be sensitive about religion and religious figures - amongst other things bear in mind that you live in a country that is largely Catholic.

John Paul II, did die during 2005, so going by your logic there shouldn't be anything to 'warn' the Pope about.

I don't see what the 'he he' (by Rajan) is about!

Relax buddy.....its just a forwarded email joke........and i dont think it was meant to hurt any religious feeling or sentiments.

The other comment sounds more like a threat to me.....anyways I dont want to go into religious arguments.

First of all, this was posted under 'News and Events'.

Second, I don't appreciate the 'joke', neither would you appreciate it if I put out a 'joke' about a Muslim figure (and I can tell you that there are plenty around). I don't think the original poster or rajand would see the humour if I posted some material about a Hindu idol either under 'news and events' (or any other section for that matter).

I actually had posted a joke about muslims sometime back, so dont assume you know me.

Secondly...........A person who cannot take a joke is a joke himself.

But I can understand your reaction given this is a largely catholic country.

Ironically, in trying to assert that this is a non-issue, you’ve helped to blow it out of proportion.

Enough said………..the matter that the OP posted isn’t factually correct and if it was intended as a ‘joke’ certainly doesn’t belong in the ‘news and events’ section.
