My suggestion would be pls keep Canada in one thread and all places out of Canada in a different thread. Bcoz for most of the foreign places there will be lots of other discussions like mode of transportation, visa issues etc. USA alone one can find thousand great destinations for weekend getaways or spring summer vacations.

We havent explored much of canada yet except Toronto and Montreal.

For coming Spring I would like to know places for 3-4 days trip.

Does any one know a place where theres Tulips or Daffodils farming here in Canada?
Its a very beautiful sight to see millions of bright bold colorful tulips growing in vast farmlands. Its there in Seattle, USA for a short time of 2 weeks in April and is open to public.

Look for Tulip festival in Ottawa on the net. Happens in early May each year.

me n my friends drove to Bay of Fundy in Moncton, NB last spring. it was quite an experience. we drove from ottawa and it's really nice place to go. you can c the water level rising upto 20 meters right in front of your eyes in matter of couple of hours. and then go to Confederation Bridge was kool too. :)

Now that spring is here, can we reinitialize this thread and start posting experiences and discuss for fellow CD members to be able to plan outings in spring and summer this year?

Cherry had asked about places to visit during Spring.

Chandresh had indicated about Ottawa Tulip Festival.
Are there other places for such festivals?

What about places for weekend getaways or 3-4 days trip to enjoy during spring.

BTW, How far is Bay of fundy from Ottawa?
What are other activities /attractions up there?

Pramesh

I feel best way to find out about various places to go is internet. Just google around a little on where u want to go and u will get detailed information on places to visit in that city.
Or if u or your some friend might have CAA membership get the east and west provinces tour books as they have quite a detail info on what to see and do at various places. Also u can collect brochures for tourist and sightseeing places at any of the visitor information centers in toronto.
You asked me abt Montreal - I visited 3 yrs back from US so do not remember names of all the places to see. We planned our tour from the AAA tour book.
May be CDs from Montreal will be able to tell u better.

Chandreshji - Thanks for telling me about the Tulip festival. I got there website and cool to read abt it. Wish to see it this season.
