Federal Skilled Worker applications received on or after February 27, 2008
The Ministerial Instructions apply to cases submitted on or after February 27, 2008. Visa offices will assess the applications received on or after February 27, 2008 against the Ministerial Instructions to determine whether applicants are eligible for processing (see section VI below). Applications which are determined not to be eligible will receive a full refund. Those determined to be eligible will be processed on a priority basis. Guidance will be provided to visa offices by International Region as to the time lines within which these cases should be assessed (for eligibility) and processed.

Where to submit applications : Where applicants submit their application depends on whether they have an arranged employment offer, or whether they have been residing legally in Canada for at least one year as Temporary Foreign Workers or International Student.

Thank you Freddie for this info. This bulletin also mentions prioritisation of family class cases. Does it make sense to withdraw an application that is already in process (withing last 3-4 months) and re-apply after 28th Feb?

All of this is new material. To the best of my knowledge, the categories with NOC numbers were released to the public, during the last month. There are new centers getting opened for the processing of these and when they all get streamlined, yours will enter the new flow pattern.

I would suggest the the old application stay in the process till more news comes out from the Parliament. I am sure more funds will also flow in to help the operations which will certainly speed up.

They cannot hang people in the limbo land with husbands and wives separated and families torn asunder. That is a very cruel process. So also Parents processing taking four and five years.

Hope things move faster for everyone.

You please Look, and I am too looking forward to it.

Freddie.
