Doctor's Fees with OHIP

Hi,

My wife is expecting to join me soon from India.

I think for the first 3 months she is not covered by OHIP. How much are the doctor's fees normally - in case she has to go to one?

It is safe to take an insurance for 3 months. Why take a chance?

first and foremost, when your wife comes, tell her to avoid cold fridge items like ice cream,popsicles etc, tell her to have normal temperature fruits and no cold items.Tell her to carry crocin tablets, pain killers,cough syrup, cold and cough syrup etc. Assuming she is having good and normal health, if you take precaution like we did, I am sure she won't fall sick for 3 months. take all precautions like she should wear sweater etc while going out. If she has some normal health problem, then she should go to walk in clinic and general physician will charge $30 for the first visit.But my advise is go to pharmacist and tell her your problem and she will suggest medicine from drug stores or else she will advise you to go to doctor.
