Hi CDs
Just need your valuable advice on Police certificate, we received the Police certificate today and now we need to send it to CHC, do we need to send the original copy of the certificate to them or a photocopy is enough?

You know that the Immigration people are looking for the ORIGINAL. If they feel that they do not need the same, then, they will return the original to you. Just to know what it contained and for future reference for dates etc., what it is, that is in that document, please take a photo copy for your usage.
Immigration people always want to see and feel the Original documents. Also currently they are scrutinizing each and every document, because a few of the people submitting all kinds of degrees printed on fancy card boards. It makes it more difficult to check and verify them. (Looks are deceptive!!)
So, please retain a COPY for your personal files.

Hi Freddie, thanks once again for your reply and today we sent them the original police check certificates for myself and my wife.
Now how long it will take to go through all process and what would be the next step.

Normally you should have no problems. If there is more correspondence between you and CHC, there in India, then anticipate an extra period of a month for each letter. Otherwise follow the website Trackitt and jot down the timings in each case for those who filed after the month of April of this year. That will be a guide for you to follow till the completion.
When I get a little free time I will see what the time lines are. Otherwise you please post your times there are get help from them and also provide them the time lines, so that others in the chain will also get to know how fast it moves.
Currently you should be here in Canada within 12 months or there about, if there are no other requisites demanded from you.
Now have some patience and play the waiting game.
