Hi,
I don't know if anybody here has discussed this before, but I found this great site, EnglishCentral.com, to practice pronouciation. First thing, its free and the second thing, the application provided by the site is ultimate. It is so useful and easy that I can't ask for more. By the way, I am not advertising for the site. It is my opinion.
They have numerous videos (along with text) you can choose from. You can repeat sentences along with a video. The best part is the application analyzes your prounciation and grades it between perfect to fail. You can keep recording over and over until your pronounciation matches that in the video.

Hope you find it useful.

Thanks for the info. This is the king among all pronunciation and accent trainings out there.
This is a great site but do we really need to change our accents or just learn to talk slowly and clearly so that the western society understands us??
Don't get me wrong, I do understand the need to improve but let's not get so caught up on ehancing our accents. We'll not be as successful if we try to be what we are not. I say the focus should be on learning the right grammar if we don't know it and then working on effective delivery.
My 2 Cents
This site is not about changing accents, but its about speaking correctly and clearly. I was able to score good points just by doing that with a neutral accent.
As far as I understand, and correct me if I am wrong, in Canada if someone tells you that you have an accent, it means your pronunciation is different from the norm.
So the key is not to improve the accent, but not have an accent.
But then the pronunciation changes from place to place. A New Yorker will say that a texan has an accent, and vice-versa. So who is right?
Britishers in Canada are supposed to have a British accent, Irish are known to have Irish accent........so which accent do you want?
