We have our Citizenship test on Monday, 25th October and unfortunately my husband got sick with high fever. He is under treatment but no significant improvement.
He refuses to attend test because of his ill health. But we wish to carry him with us and report to CIC officer about his sickness and his inability to go for test.
Now is there a chance of RQ for him? or he will be given chance for another day for test? If he will be allowed to appear for the test at later date then what will be the time for re-test? a week after or a month after or more?
Will he be able to take Oath on the same day with family or will be called on different day?
Please share your experience.
Thanks,
praveen
1. No problem. You just inform to CIC that he can't take. They will fix another date. Don't carry him ..... to there
2. You have no control on reschedule date. They will decide according to their availability.
3. Generally if a family takes the test and one fails, they will fix the oath day for all at once after the failed person passes the exam next time. Guess it will be the same if one is absent.
ADVICE: If he recovers a bit, it is a good idea to complete the test after preparing for an hour or so at least. It is not really a big deal and he can do it and it will be over. Post pone it only if he is seriously ill.
Dear Gurram,
Please accept my sincer thanks for your timely and mentally satisfied post. Really it gives me a great relief and I will follow your specified points positively.
Thanks,
