Hi,

I had submitted my application for citizenship (from Brampton) on Oct 22nd 2003. I recd. the first letter on Feb 16, 2004. I had to appear for the wriiten test on May 4th and will be appearing :) for the Oath Ceremony on June 4th 2004.
(But the e-cas status on the internet does not mention the oath ceremony date)
I wish all other applicants the very best in their citizenship process.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

Your mother is a senior citizen and she does not have to appear for any written test. I wonder if the letter she receives says that she has to appear for a test and they send the book 'a look at Canada'. I would suggest you to call the CIC call centre and confirm as there seems to be some mistake.

Hi,

I applied for citizenship in 2nd week of August. Its last week of November now (over 3 months) and still havent received any acknowledgements.

Anyone else facing similar delays?

Bison's question:

Does it take this long to receive the acknowledgement?

MY reply:

I applied for the citizenship in mid August. I am yet to hear from them. I hear that a section of the CIC staff is on strike. Besides, there is no set pattern as regarding wait times. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who applied for citizenship around the same time and got to hear from CIC.

Thanks in advance for the info!

Seshadri.
