How about if my salary was 150 times more than what it was in Canada?
For example :
$ 50,000 a year in Canada and Rs. 50 lakhs a year in India.
Grow up !
Peace

Something doesnt add up here . 50 Lakhs is not even 100,000 CAD ..Secondly people making $ 50,000 in Canada are not eligible for food stamps and do not stand in Ikea line for left overs ... Am I missing something here .

Fido.
Sanchith,
You donot understand the concept.
If I got $ 5000 a month (after taxes in Canada) it is Rs. 2.60,000.
If I get Rs. 5 lakhs a month in India, do I care if the exchange rate is Rs 40 to a $ or Rs 60 to a $?
Still I am paid in India and I buy Indian goods. If Inflation is 10%, then my salary may increase 15% each year.
Peace

Thanks for your reply. I'm pretty confident that if we do decide to come, i can work very hard and support my family. I would just like to know one thing. say if i had roughly 50,000 CAD to invest, do you think i would get to buy a business or invest in something ? Would it be enough to settle ? I hear that Ca is very expensive and living costs are very high so we always feel we're short of cash to settle. Pls help me out here. Thanks a lot.
