Hi All,
I submitted the spousal visa application in June last week of 2012. So far no acknowledgement. As of today they have only opened applications till April-30-2012. Since, these days it takes 8 - 12 months for India, I was wondering has anybody tried applying for tourist visa (single/multiple entry) for their spouse after they applied for their Spousal Sponsor Visa.
Thanks

I am not sure if you really wanna do this. If i were you i would not take a chance. Applying for visitor visa of your spouse can or cannot get rejection. But applying for spousal visa on immigration is highly to approve unless its not a legit marriage. I am not saying to you, saying in general.
If your spouse visitor visa is rejected that will worsen her case to get spouse visa approved upto certain extent.
Thanks for your inputs high vision, I am not aware of any impact of tourist visa rejection on spousal visa process because as per records till the date she filed her sponsorship application she didn't apply for any visa to travel to Canada. Though in this case tourist visa application may be submitted after applying for spousal visa. I would appreciate if you could throw some light on this topic (any laws, stories, news articles etc)..that would really help me to consider this decision.
I know its a complicated topic but imagine you lose 1 year of your life to be with your spouse just because the immigration laws really sucks (Imagine if your spouse was from Pakistan or any other country where waiting time is around 2 years and beyond)
