Hello,

I am in the process of applying for my wife's tourist visa but i am really confused. For this i hired a consultant as well in Canada. He is saying that i can only show the money which is on my name and my wife's name but the problem is that i don't have too much money on my name or my wife's name.

He said that i cant show my fathers money or my mothers money. Therefore i am really confused and sometimes really got frustrated with this but i don't know what should i do. So, please i request some one to help me as my visa is going to finish.

Please help me i really need someones help regarding what papers should i submit and how much money should i show and all the information by which i can successfully apply for the visa. I request all senior members to please help me.

Thanks!

Consultant is right, Your wife should show money on her name in bank account in your home country.
You can prepare a notarized invitation/sponsorship letter for your wife and in that letter you will assume the responsibility of your wife's living expense, travel and medical insurance and all other day to day expanses.
You can get such notarized invitation letter for minimal fees (like $10 or something) at immigration/community services... If you are in Toronto, you can go here http://www.polycultural.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68&Itemid=1
It is also important that you show enough money with you in Canada to support yourself and your wife.
You can borrow money from someone here in Canada, transfer it into you account for few days, get a balance letter, return the money to someone who you got from.
This is what I did when I sponsored my parents..

Thanks a lot jigz for the reply. The sponsoring letter will be prepared by the consultant only but the thing is how much money should i show? 10,000 dollars will be enough and form home country my wife is going to show about 1,25,000 rupees. Is there any thing more do i have to show and please if possible tell me that which papers do i need to attach with the file.

Please tell me that can i attach the property valuation papers. The property is on my fathers name. Please suggest me .'

Thanks!

$ 10,000 is good.... but 1,25,000 is less... try to show more.

It will be helpful if your wife's name is added on the property.
If she is working and you can show her pay stubs that would be the best tie for returning back (since you are applying for visitor visa).
It will be helpful to show valuation for jewelery she has. FDs, LICs, Stocks, KVPs... etc etc...

Thanks once again. The amount (1,25,000) which i said u is a mixture of KVP's, FD's, and cash. For going back yeah her employer is giving letter that she will join back on particular date. Name in the property will not be possible. Can i make a new fd on her name because i dont know people say it should be 6 mtnh older. How to do the valuation of jewelery. Please let me know any other stuff which comes in ur mind and i get benefited from that. and 1 thing more is mostly money in a/c or fd,s or kvp,s is mostly on my father or my mother name so is there any thing that we can use that.

Thanks!
