Hi!

This is to inform all that I arrived in Toronto on 23 June 2004 along with two of my children. My husband and eldest will be arriving in July. Our first impression of Canada in general and Toronto/Mississauga in particular has been very positive and we look forward with optimism to a bright future in this beautiful country.

The people here seem friendly and we had pleasant experiences at immigration and customs; even the porter and airport pickup people were helpful.

Our friends from Dubai, whom we are staying with, have been just super and with their help we have managed to get quite a lot done already.

More details in a few days. I look forward to meeting a few desi's this weekend.

Our sincere thanks to this wonderful site for all the information and guidance that has made this big step easier.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Special thanks to Biomed who invited me to meet some of the desis yesterday; I feel at home already. . I hope to meet some more friends and acquaintances today at church and then a get-together at a Dubai friend's place tonight. Glad to be in circulation already; we sincerely hope the happy trend continues. The children too will be meeting some childhood friends from Dubai. I plan to get back to some more serious work on Monday and Tuesday and will keep you informed.
