I have already placed my quals and exp on the board and I dont think they are any less than urs. BTW u havent answered me previously what r ur qualifications and expereince ....... readers can associate more with u after knowing u better. ..... personally wondering since u spend so much time on the forum wonder how much u spend on ur job .
Instead of ridiculing others and coming back 2 ur own not-so-good tricks for which u ve received words of caution over and over again please provide us with ur nos --- as 2 the indians who would b able 2 cough up 7.5 lacs. Dunno y r u skirting the issue ??? What do u say 1 million , 2 million , 3 million.............. :d
Well CAD100 000 coupled with a Bank backing of double that amount is a sizable amount yeah ??? . I dont see any opportunity plain and simple its just an option as much as is Bangalore and Middle East . And yes the job promises have indeed crashed or else I d b there by now !!!
South of the border they have ten times the jobs , this side they dont have .... South of the Border Engineers dont work as labor / menial jobs ..... this side they do in alarming numbers ........ South of the border an average Indian's salary s double that of an average Indian here .

You are the guy who has been ranting against Canada!
One day you say 80% of professionals work in Tim Horton's here, that 'consultant-misportrayed-dreams' crash within the first 30 days of landing, next day you say you want to come here as well!
Your link to the H1B's shows 30k Indians out of 65k total. However, in your initial posts you've said greater than 50%. That was inaccurate!
Obviously there are no reliable statistics as regards bank balances. I'm not about to go around posting inaccurate statistics like you do! The only reason I got into the statistics was because you said that 150 million Indians could immigrate to Canada if they wanted to!
The rest of your post is all blah blah blah.......your usual whining against Canada.......which of course brings me to the point that the original poster made in a general sense - "if you dislike Canada, why don't you just abandon your plans of coming here (people who are also free to leave if they want to)"?
The only things relevant to this thread are:
1. You whine so much about Canada, YET you still want to come here.
2. There are tons of people that are here in Canada, but don't want to leave........
If things were so bad, can you shed some light on why they don't want to leave? (please share your infinite wisdom with us)
Oh yeah, and Jake was just expressing his views on this board in much the same way that Kap does ......why do you have a problem with that?

Lets see Kap. Crenshaw is quite muted in his responses nowadays. You go and call him foolish. What do you expect in return?

Ah...here we are again!! The feud goes on unabated!?? Don't I see some very familiar faces in the combat zone??
The OP was - "WHY DON'T THEY PACK THEIR BAGS AND GO HOME?".
The discussion has devolved into the usual spat of Canada being bad/good!
Sticking to the OP, IMO people do not go back for two reasons.
1.When someone leaves his job and country, the messages generated are:
a. I am worth more than what I have got in this country .
b. I am educated and competent. I will be certainly better off in Canada.
c. I am courageous. I am a winner. I shall win!!
Having left his country with such notions, can be compared somewhat like going into battle.
If now he goes back, will it not be a huge embarrassment? It would be like having succumbing to defeat! Won't people consider him a loser? People will point and say - "So many people go to Canada! No one comes back. He is the only one who couldn't get anything!"
These and similar thoughts do not allow him to go back!
While the above is the primary reason, there are other secondary reasons too. The possibility of failing to find a job back home. The smaller but recognizable benefits of continuing to remain here, like children's schooling and better future for them, the efficiency and comforts of a developed country etc.
And so our immigrant continues to slog, grumbling but not going back!!

To counter the ‘embarrassment’ of being labelled a ‘loser’ back in India, some people resort to saying that Canada is ONLY meant for average people who have nowhere else to go!

The whole scenario changes when u find the top bracket Indians (10 to 15% who are well educated, professionals and the best of Indians (yet the average in their own class) reach Canada and land up amongst the lowest rung of Canadians doing menial jobs !!! Thats a paradox !! .

1. You are mistaken if you suggest that only people who come to Canada are average professionals who are ‘going nowhere’ in their careers. That may reflect your perception of your own skills and capabilities, certainly does not reflect ALL professionals.
