I am in agreement with happywoman36 comments.

When you come to Canada, whatever opportunities are there to upgrade, get it done - whichever field you belong to..... combine this with hard work and success is achieved.

After many years - comes the time to Balance your books.

Life is a culmination of what we make it and what fate adds on to it for us.

In Canada ( and for that reason any where in the world) we need to continually reassessing our goals , scenarios , priorities and wishes and keep on acting on them .

You may find that 55 year old man earning $8 per hour and you will also find taxi drivers / truck drivers earning $50 - $100K on an average.

Then you will also find people who would initially go into survival jobs for some time but not lose their focus on their original functionality , re credential them selves by working on the side and rebound back into their areas.

And then you will also find doctors / engineers doing security jobs -- you have to try to break the dead end circle and some times circumstances and fate may work against you ....Accept it and then re assess your options and act accordingly...

TK it seems is well qualified but somehow could not make it big in Canada and he relocated back to India where it seems he is doing considerably well... it worked for him in the same manner as relocating to Canada has worked good for HW36 .

All cases are subjective and nothing can be generalized.... as much as each life is unique.

Success is Never Ending and Failure is never Final.

Keep in mind and balance your life....
This is just one sentence but it says lot if you understand correctly ....
There is book on this title...

I posted my success story almost 10 years before. See below.

Up and Down is part of life but you should decide what really matters to you. Making more money is not only the success. You have to balance your life with family...

Kya fark padta hey yaar. There are plenty of successful immigrants that are not on this board, or for that matter on any internet forum board at all. Also, a small forum such as this is not reflective of the vast immigrant population. I am sure, majority of these people have successfully cemented their base here in Canada, and earning well. I know plenty of them. They don’t have anything special at all. They are not immensely hardworking and educated either. But, they did few things differently (not exceptionally); and never shied away from upgrading their basic skills, including the very important one – English language. That’s all.

It’s a human psych that the cornered and struggling ones are more vocal among the troupe. This is the group that need to come out of their comfort zone and try doing things differently in order to achieve something. Take baby steps. You don’t need to enroll in a school to attain a Ph.D. either. Last but not the least, keeping a status quo doesn't help either. I won’t delve much upon the ‘kitaabi baatein’, but I would like to mention something practical and proven that my Boss at work always say, “Guys! Work smarter, not harder.”

Remember, in life, the blame is all upon you. Neither the system, nor the luck, and never the ‘halaat’. Even God has nothing to do with it. External blame is all superficial and an escapist’s perfect route.

Majority of the time they were having really good qualification , but it was NOT Canadian, that's all.

You should see lot of fools who are coming out of the CDN education system, who are far inferior..but have a white skin & don't speak English with an accent ..ask them " How and who gv thm certificate or degree is a big question?? "

These fools are making 6 figure salaries , while other folks are wearing safety shoes..LOL
