I submitted my application in Jan.2006 at Buffalo for skilled worker category. File transferred to New York in Jan.2007 and received a letter asking to complete medical exams in Feb.2007. I did my fingerprints in 1st week of Feb.2007 and sent PCC request to Ottawa. I am sure my PCC is not issued by RCMP yet and neither I need it anymore. In other words, the visa officer doesn’t need my Canadian PCC.
* Will it slow down my application if the visa officer receives my PCC at this stage?
Can I call RCMP and request not to send my PCC at CIC New York ?
I had medical exams in the last week of Feb.2007. They sent me a medical form and asked me to go through medical exams. They didn’t ask me to send any other documents (i.e. landing fee, proof of funds, proof of medical exams). Another friend of mine applied 1 month before me and his file got transferred to Detroit and they asked him to pay landing fees, a proof of medical exams done and proof of funds available in Canada (at the same time of medical request).
* Is it normal that different offices have different methods of processing applications?
Or may be they missed to ask me to pay landing fees ?
Can I send them landing fees or wait and let them ask to pay ?
They didn’t even ask to send the proof of completion of medical exams (just like they asked to my friend).
