Honey with a pinch of salt in it, trust me it works like jaadu (magic) on dry cough, atleast in our home! Use humidifier in your bedroom, the dry air in the circulation adds on to the cough.

+1 for honey in hot water. just add 1 tbs of honey n 1 cup of hot water and it works wonder. i have personal experience with this.
