I find it so difficult to get admission in a degree course in Canadian universities/colleges [for my ward who did 12th commerce without MATH...[CBSE]]
Every college needs Math for BBA/BCOM...it is so depressing now for us..:(

-Can anyone please advice us what degree programme shall we apply for and in which province?
-Do you think our presence in canada make better chances to get admission than applying from outside?
-Will direct approach or seeking advice from university counseller help in anyway?

Thanks

As a Parent or as a Guardian, you will have to take the total responsibility for your ward or the child, in his/her preparation for a career from a very young age. There is no use of looking back, in hind sight, and regretting about it later.

And there are some small fixes that are still available to you right where you are and that will set the career course right back on track, currently. For this the student will have to take up the lost subject, in her case the MATH, from the year in which it was abandoned in her curriculum. If it takes another year right there, then so be it. You will have to tell her that it is MANDATORY and she has to study hard, either just that subject or together with the other subjects and score the highest marks that she can, to comply with the UNIVERSITY requirements.

After that, I am sure, that you know that she will get an entry into course and a college or an University to further her education here or anywhere.( in India) If it calls for a shifting of the location to complete or get that extra coaching, you will have to prepare yourself for this also.

It is nothing derogatory or shameful going back for a subject missed in the earlier years. The experience is well worth it as it will set the career course back on line. There is a whole life ahead for her to enjoy the fruits of her efforts.

And you as a guardian should find her the solution that is called for.

Freddie.
