As long as one has done any Canadian course, one can find decent jobs. Even though Accountemps, a temp. recruiting org has given in their recent salary handbook for 2007 that Vancouver has 2% higher wages than the rest o the country, still it is behind Toronto and Calgary which have 4.5% and 7% higher than average salaries. Also, many folks living in Vancouver consider low wages for living in a warmer climate, what if it rains!! they say, so it is up to you - do you want to earn more and shovel up the snow Jan-Feb or earn less and pay more for lazying around in the rain in Vancouver.
I have a few relatives in Vancouver who love the place. And they are pretty decent on their earnings. The uncle I have is an insurance agent and earns pretty well.
However, if you do not like winter, Vancouver and Victoria are the places to live in Canada. If you want to earn more, can have a car, then Toronto is not that bad.
I am in Toronto for about a yr now and I like many things here but recently (as I do not have a car) commuting in the public transit (which is quite decent) in this winter is driving the sanity out of me, so I am thinking to myself: Have a car by next winter or move to Vancouver!!

Hi all,
I have lived both in Toronto (also in Cambridge, Ontario) and Vancouver (also Victoria, BC). I say that there is no place in Canada which you can call warm.
I have met a few white canadian from Alberta, who say that when they have enogh money they go to Mexico for warm weather.
Hence, If in Canada donot worry about the cold..
