Looking a little far ahead, for the series in Australia, I would prefer a more attacking person for captaincy. After all the controversial incidents in the recent 1day series, we should be ready for something more in return AND should be able to return it back to them (the players AND the crowd). Kumble/Dravid/Tendulkar are more tame and cannot be 'attacking' captains. They WANT to be remembered as gentlemen players and will not RISK thier IMAGE. We need someone like DADA or Dhoni or even Yuvraj/Uttappa to counter Aussies aggression - on and off the field. Infact we could have a combination of all the players - off the field Sreesanth and and Bhajji can take the lead, on the field DADA + Dhoni + Yuvraj+Uttappa...that will make it interesting.

Yes, Bhajji - Sree and guys can be more verbal ... but than they don't have performance to back their words. I would prefer strategically more aggressive than just verbal.
I think Kumble will be attacking (atleast more than Dravid & Tendul) ... he is not same as before - but still has enough Fire. Pumped up Kumble is way too much for any Opposition. Captaincy will stir him enough.
Lets see ... ... ... I'm already looking forward to Test Series.

Thats what I meant - to be aggressive OFF the field...shake them up...make them agitated..so they target these 2 fools while the rest of the team can go about thier chores, it will be better if these 2 are never included in the playing 11, but taken along just to make some comments off the field...
I too am looking forward to the test series - both Pakistan and Australia. Hope Kumble has a 'Happy Ending'...

Test Team came out earlier - Kumble had a taste of first Selection Meeting ... and I read that Kumble wanted the meeting held earlier so that he could fly back to Bangalore and play for Karnataka.
Thats some commitment from a Senior Pro. And I'll like to believe that this is just begining ...

It will be interesting to gestimate the handling of the Harbhajan issue if Tendulkar or Dhoni were the captain?
I think Kumble did better than 'my' expectations, or maybe I underestimated him..like most people in cricketing world...he is the most under-rated spinner.
to his captaincy and 600 wickets..
