I haven't seen or heard anything about this in ages, but it was quite popular about 20 years back and as a kid I used to love it.

Has anyone ever seen a VHS tape of it?
I can't image a DVD having ever been created.

If I’m not mistaken this series was originally in German with an English dubbing when Doordarshan broadcasted it in the 80's.

Going thru a movie / TV series database on the internet, the closest I can find is a series called “Nonstop Nonsens” that ran between 1975 and 1980. Lead was an actor by the name of Dieter Hallervorden whose screen name was Didi.

From memory, I recall that the series was by Transtel. From the info I can see, there are no CD’s, DVD’s or VHS products on the series. While English TV series’ have been released on DVD, its unlikely that this one will find its way out.

Yeah, this is the show alright.
It is sad that the show has never been released on tape or DVD.
I did find a DVD in German of a comedy movie starring Didi (Dieter Hallervorden) is a double role.

It seems that Didi is still active on Television in Berlin.
He is doing a series of politcal shows.

I know that he always has been politically active because at the time the "Nonstop nonsense" shows were being made, the East German secret police was out to get him at one point.
I had read/heard that he was looking to emigrate to America.
Looks like the collapse of East Germany made him stay there.
