John Howard is not current (but former) prime minister of Australia. Current Prime minister (since Dec. 3, 2007) is Kevin Rudd.

Whoever said those words ought to be commended. I concur 100%. Yes, we do need such leaders. Absolutely do. I really don't care about the religion in question but the position that has been taken.

My concern is FEW people give impartial treatment to one particular religion called 'H' ( not writing name as again some one will take objection)
An old controversy given new wings. Like people have pointed out this happened way back during the old PMs tenure. I agree with some of the statments but i think religion should be kept out of the state, Christian or not.
And stop saying things like one religion is given impartial treatment. there's nothing of the sort. Christian right wingers say the same thing about christianity.

Mr. Howard lost election perhaps because of this kind of bigotary.
Australia was never land of whites. They killed most of natives and converted the rest. There is enough material on the net documenting killing of Australian aboriginals. Again, Australia, like Canada NEEDS immigrants to run their economy.
As regards Hindu being discriminated, the reason is that they are not united and fight amongst themselves in India. Who respects weakklings in the world? Instead of complaining, they need to put their house in order. Some introspection is warranted before crying loud and complaining. Well, Mr. Howard or Bush can not change the world and make it the way they like it. History will prove that Muslims will be in bargaining position in next 25 years in Europe and many other countries (India included) and are bound to influence world politics in future, whether one likes it or not.

Not very sure which crystal ball you are gazing into.
But, the way present events are taking place in the world...very few Muslims will be left in another 25 years are so.
For the nth time. NO. Obama is not a Muslim and neither does he consider himself a friend of one. (In regards to your 'influence in world politics').
